perpetrators Students will develop strategies for preventing and responding to cyberbullying Students will practice empathy and critical thinking skills through roleplaying activities Students will learn about resources available for support and reporting cyberbullying Materials Whiteboard or projector Markers or pens Index cards or sticky notes Paper and writing utensils Access to internet optional Props for roleplaying optional eg phones computers etc Procedure I 10 minutes Icebreaker Start with an icebreaker related to online communication like Whats your favorite emoji and why or Whats your favorite online gameplatform This helps engage students and create a welcoming atmosphere Introduce the topic by asking students to share their thoughts on the phrase Digizen Home Discuss what it means to them and how it relates to online safety and responsibility Definition Define cyberbullying as sending or posting mean or harmful messages online including images or videos that are intended to hurt someones feelings or reputation Brainstorming On the board ask students to brainstorm examples of cyberbullying eg spreading rumors posting embarrassing photos sending threats impersonating someone 2 II Exploring the Impact 15 minutes Discussion Discuss the potential impact of cyberbullying on the victim including Emotional distress eg sadness anger fear Social isolation
